Imagine if Slavisa Jokanovic was still at the helm?
Fulham have bolstered their Serbian colony at Craven Cottage on the transfer deadline day with Liverpool outcast Lazar Markovic joining the Cottagers on a permanent deal thanks to a warm recommendation from his former Partizan teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Markovic joined Liverpool in 2014 from Benfica but never quite managed to prove his worth wearing a red shirt. During four and a half years at Anfield, Markovic made 34 appearances and scored three goals.
He spent most of time out on loans, however, and will now be looking to get his career back on track, replicate the Benfica form and help Fulham survive the relegation scare.
The Cottagers are currently a place above the last in the Premier League table with not more than 17 points to their name after 24 rounds.
