Premier League giants Liverpool seem to be rather excited about having sold Philippe Coutinho for £142m, mainly because it means they can buy some talented players. Jurgen Klopp should really be in the market for a left back, but naturally it’s Real Madrid midfield stalwart Toni Kroos that he wants, according to the Liverpool Echo.

With Emre Can’s future unclear due to contract negotiations having stalled, and injury plaguing Jordan Henderson’s career, a move for a central midfielder does make sense, and Kroos is arguably the best around.

The Germany international is currently in his fourth season with Spanish super club Real Madrid, and has already won a Liga title and two Champions League winners medals during his time in the Spanish capital.

Add to that three Bundesliga titles and another Champions League from his time at Bayern Munich and you have yourself one of the most decorated central midfielders in world football, who also happens to be a World Cup winner.

The addition of Kroos, who has contributed two goals and three assists in 16 La Liga appearances this season, to Liverpool’s midfield who make the Reds an even more fearsome side.

A world class talent like Kroos would also help propel the Merseyside club back to the top of the pile, both in England and Europe, which is arguably where they belong.
